The invention relates to an epoxy chloropropane production method and mainly solves the problems of large wastewater and slag amount, serious pollution and strong equipment corrosivity in the prior art. The epoxy chloropropane production method comprises the following steps: (a) enabling peroxidation between ethylbenzene and air to obtain a hydrogen peroxide ethylbenzene oxidation solution; (b) enabling epoxidation reaction between the hydrogen peroxide ethylbenzene oxidation solution and chloropropylene under the action of a catalyst and under the liquid-phase condition to produce epoxy chloropropane, alpha-methylbenzyl alcohol and acetophenone; (c) dehydrating alpha-methylbenzyl alcohol to produce styrene; (d) enabling hydrogenation reaction between acetophenone and hydrogen to produce alpha-methylbenzyl alcohol. The technical scheme that alpha-methylbenzyl alcohol produced in the step (d) is returned to the step (c) to be hydrogenized together with alpha-methylbenzyl alcohol produced in the step (b) to produce styrene better solves the problem in the prior art, and can be used for industrial production for preparing epoxy chloropropane and co-production of styrene.
