Field-induced magnetic transitions of exchange competing system GdMn2Ge2

Abstract The isothermal magnetization curves were examined for GdMn 2 Ge 2 , which shows a ferrimagnetic to antiferromagnetic transition at T 1 =95 K. It was found that the compound undergoes a field-induced magnetic transition below T 1 for both H ∥ c and H ⊥ c . Based on the results, the H – T diagrams were obtained.
