Scientific evidence shows that an adequate lifestyle based on daily exercise improves the quality of life of elderly. some studies shows that daily physical activity and gymnastics in the elderly help to improve physiological, emotional and psychological capabilities so much so that physical exercise has a delaying effect evolution systems considerably. As a master of fact, it prevents some diseases and contributes to maintaining motor skill independence such as movement and balance; for this reason the present investigation aims to prove information on whether the Gymnastics improves mobility and balance, and optimizes the quality of life in the elderly as well. Consequently, the important effects of exercise were analyzed on the functional condition of a healthy lige. That is to say, it contributes to the elderly’s autonomy and independence by decreasing the risk of falls. At the same time, exercises were monitored and dosed by the physiotherapist who understand that the elderly person needs unique and individualized care in order to help them in their different pathologies. The methodology used was descriptive observational, based on scientific readings PUBMED, REDALYC, SCIELO under inclusion and exclusion criteria. We worked with scientific articles previously evaluated by the PEDro scale demonstrating a good methodological quality and analyzing relevant data that imply the importance of the practice of gymnastics in the elderly
