Quantification of Special Operations Mission-Related Performance: Performance Database.

Abstract : In order to evaluate the impact of environmental and physiological stressors on the conduct of Special Operations activities and techniques to minimize the effects of these stressors, it has become essential to develop standardized measurements of Special Operations mission-related performance and to ensure that measures selected relate as directly as possible to actual operational tasks. In order to select/develop appropriate measures of performance, information was needed on critical performance abilities required for specific Special Operations activities. To obtain the required abilities information, a database was developed providing data obtained from experienced, senior operators regarding critical performance abilities necessary for fifty-six specific Special Operations activities.
