Magnetic depolarization of atomic fluorescence in flames
1972
Abstract The Hanle effect has been observed on the 2288 A fluorescence line of cadmium atoms sprayed in a flame under atmospheric pressure. A signal width of 1400 G, and a polarization between 7 and 20% have been observed. The results are discussed from the point of view of quenching.
