Investigation of the Domain Structure of NdFe11Ti and NdFe11TiNx

By means of the magneto-optical Kerr effect the domain structure of NdFe 11 Ti and NdFe 11 TiN x is investigated. From the mean domain width the domain wall energy y' and the critical diameter of the single domain particle D c are calculated to be y' = 6.37 x 10 -7 J/cm2, D c = 0.12 μm for NdFe 11 Ti and y' = 19.8 x 10 -7 J/cm 2 , D c = 0.255 μm for NdFe 11 TiN.
