The dental ankylosis occurs primarily in deciduous teeth at any point in its development may lead to the immersion of the part. During childhood growth, stagnant aspect teeth immersed into the bone while it continues to develop occlusive way seeming to affect neighboring parts. Permanent teeth are less affected and although its incidence in the population are unknown etiology and the presence of infection, inflammation and injuries can be triggers for the development of this pathology may displace what causes functional and aesthetic problems. A third ankylosed molar is uncommon and in the case that the part is already erupting therefore then a case of a left lower third molar stale product of advanced decay in a female patient aged 42 presented that was extracted through a surgical extraction; and literature review was conducted to know the most important aspects of this disease as their, clinic, most appropriate treatment and possible complications.
