White organic light-emitting diodes (WOLEDs)

Due to recent improvements in WOLED power efficiency, these components could replace incandescent light sources, offering new possibilities of shapes and applications. In this paper, the general OLED operation is explained and the main methods to obtain white light emission are reviewed.
