Exámenes no presenciales en época del COVID-19 y el temor al engaño. Un estudio de caso en la Universidad de Oviedo

2020
The proclamation of the state of alarm last March due to the health alert caused by Covid-19 was a turnaround in the work schemes of the Spanish University. To forced marches it was necessary to first adapt the teaching to the non-face-to-face modality and, later, to design ways to evaluate the students using telematic means. Online test taking was overshadowed from the start by the fear on the part of many of the teachers that the results were unreliable. The honesty of the students was called into question. From the universities, formulas were sought and strategies were designed to be able to carry out the evaluation process with the maximum possible guarantees, while from various educational entities ideas were proposed and proposals were drawn up to guide this task. In this work, a tour of this problem is made and the results of an exam carried out electronically following these indications for a class group of 200 students are analyzed in this context. The conclusions obtained point out that the existence of misconduct was minimal and that there was an improvement in the results due to the greater work of the students during confinement.
