Background The aim of this study was to elucidate the diagnostic value of 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography (PET)–computed tomography (CT) for lateral pelvic lymph node (LPN) metastasis in rectal cancer treated with preoperative chemoradiotherapy (CRT).
