Research on application of VSC-HVDC system in the offshore wind farm

Cause offshore wind farm shall be transmitted over a long distance,and the large scale wind power adopts dc transmission technology,which operating costs lower than ac power;In order to ensure that wind power quality and grid stability,the application VSC-HVDC transmission technology was put forward,and the characteristics of the dc transmission system control technicall was studied emphasisly.the closed-loop PI controller for the system based on VSC-HVDC steady-state mathematical model was proposed,and the system is simulated by the PSCAD/EMTDC software.The simulation results show that the controllers are simple and effective,which could satisfy the requirements of stable operation.
