Study of Therapeutic Effect of Trimetazidine on Dilated Cardiomyopathy Accompanied by Congestive Heart Failure

2005
Objective: To evaluate the clinical therapeutic effect of trimetazidine on dilated cardiomyopathy(DCM) accompanied by moderate to severe congestive heart failure(CHF). Methods:40 patients with DCM accompanied by moderate to severe congestive heart failure were randomized into routine treated group and trimetazidine treated g;roup( therapeutic group), and their grades of heart function, left ventricular ejection fraction( LVEF) and left ventricular end-distolic diameter before and after treatment with trimetazidine for eight weeks were observed Results: The heart function grade of patient there were greatly improved in trimetazidine treated group, LVEF was obviously increased and the LVDd was greatly reduced, respectively however the blood pressure and heart rate had no changes. Conclusion: It can be concluded that trimetazidine can greatly improve the heart function of patients with DCM, and this method is worth being popularized and utilized.
