Method for preparing wood-plastic composite material from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene composite material waste

2014
The invention discloses a method for preparing a wood-plastic composite material from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene composite material waste. The method comprises the following steps: directly pulverizing ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber-reinforced composite material waste into particles with the particle size of 100-300 mu m or so, mixing the particles with wood meal, adding a coupling agent, sufficiently stirring and uniformly mixing; and adding the mixed particles into a mold, and carrying out hot pressing in a vulcanizer to obtain the wood-plastic composite material. The method does not need to separate the ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fibers from the resin, and is simple and convenient in the recovery process; and the recovered wood-plastic composite material has higher toughness and lower price than the common polyethylene/wood meal composite material.
