Robust Control of a Structural-Acoustical Coupling System by Using the μ_(-synthesis) Theory

2006
Based on the μ_(-synthesis) theory,a robust control model of structural-acoustical coupling system for a three-dimensional rectangular enclosure was established, and a design method of robust μ_(-synthesis) controller was proposed. The robust performance problem of the structural-acoustical coupling system was transformed into the robust stability problem of an augment system via the introduction of a fictive uncertainty module. The robust stability controller for this augment system was solved by standard D-K iteration.Simulation results indicate that μ_(-synthesis) can provide a good disturbance rejection and is more robust to parameter variations than H_∞ controller. In comparison with the previous studies, this paper designs an active robust controller for the structural-acoustical coupling system by using the μ_(-synthesis) theory, and demonstrates the merit of μ_(-synthesis) controller.
