Differentiation of Hopper-Burn Symptoms From That of Mite and Diseases of Autumn Potato Crop

1979
Potato fields grown in the districts of Jullundur and Hoshiarpur were surveyed for establishing the role of either early or late blight, mite or jassid attack in causing burning symptoms. Role of jassid in causing hopper-burn was established, because hopper population had positive correlation to burning symptoms. However, mite population was the highest in apparently healthy (based on burning symptoms) fields.
