Boron derivatives of 3-ferrocenylpyrazole

1991
3-Ferrocenylpyrazole (=Hpz * ) has been prepared and was converted to the salt Kpz * and the complex [(π-CH 2 CCH 3 CH 2 )Pd-(pz * )] 2 . In many respects Hpz * reacts with boron compounds in a manner similar to the unsubstituted parent pyrazole. Thus, the pyrazaboles R 2 B(μ-pz * ) 2 BR 2 (R=H, C 2 H 5 ); the adducts (CH 3 ) 2 HN.B(pz * )(C 2 H 5 ) 2 , (CH 3 ) 2 HN.B(pz * )(C 8 H 14 ) (where C 8 H 14 Bh=9−borabicyclo[3.3.1]nonane), Hpz * .B(pz * )(C 8 H 14 ), and (CH 3 ) 2 HN.B(pz*) 3 ; the salts Tl[(pz * ) 2 BH 2 ], K[(pz * ) 2 B-(C 2 H 5 ) 2 ], and M[(pz * ) 2 B(C 8 H 14 )] (M=Na, K); and the complexes (C 2 H 5 ) 2 (μ-pz * ) 2 Pd(π-CH 2 CHCH 2 ) and (C 8 H 14 )B(μ-pz * ) 2 Pd(π-CH 2 CHCH 2 ) have been prepared and characterized
