A Generalized Simplified Modeling Method for the Electromagnetic Coupling to Cable Harness with Randomly Bundling

In the practical application, the cable bundle has the characteristic of spatial layout and its characteristics such as “large number of core conductors”, “arbitrary bending in space” and “position uncertainty” bring challenges to the modeling of electromagnetic coupling to cable bundles. Thus, this paper proposes a generalized simplified modeling method for the electromagnetic coupling effect on uncertainty strapping cable bundles. Firstly, the Gaussian distribution and spline interpolation are applied to determine the location of the core conductors in the random bundling. Then, the inductance matrix and capacitance matrix of the cable bundle at different position are established by using transposition relationship between the subsegments of the conductors. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by numerical simulation.
