Universität und Innovationen: Beispiele aus der österreichischen Hochschullandschaft
2020
HEIs (higher education institutions) are increasingly in a constant dialogue with non-academic organisations and have thus become crucial drivers for the cooperative and accompanying development of innovations. While this can lead to a narrowing or channelling of the research focus, the networking and participatory character also offers several opportunities, such as evidence-based co-evolution with other systems. In this article, some innovative areas with partly already transdisciplinary characteristics are being presented as innovative examples at Austrian universities (HEIs), which were identified on the basis of expert interviews. Finally, the assessment of the university‘s innovative capacity by means of (external and internal) audits also is being discussed in greater detail, referring here to possible opportunities for learning.
