Mitochondrial profile of a mammalian lymphocyte

The mitochondrial complexes observed in mouse lymphocytes by electron microscopic examination of ultrathin serial sections were cascading tubular networks consisting of a few large mitochondrial units. Volume densities of mitochondrial and nuclear profiles were determined. A three-dimensional scale model of the mitochondrial profile surrounding the nucleus of one mouse lymphocyte was constructed.
