“... PORQUE SÃO REIS DO SEU TERRITÓRIO”. CONFIGURAÇÕES SUBJETIVAS NA GESTÃO METROPOLITANA EM VITÓRIA – ES

This research is oriented by the following research problem: what ways of thinking and acting impact the development of the Vitoria Metropolitan management? The goal is to understand how social subjectivity, constituted from the intertwining of subjective settings, appears in the processes of construction of Metropolitan management in Vitoria, Espirito Santo. The study is justified because of the lack of research on the subject of city management in its cultural and historical dimension. The theoretical framework that underpins this research is the theory of subjectivity, drawn from the principles of qualitative epistemology. The results show that those subjective settings that impact on metropolitan management in Vitoria are associated mainly with personalistic political mode of conduct, which obstructs their development.
