Pyourachus: An unusual surgical problem

Abstract Five cases of pyourachus have been described that illustrate the unusual manner in which this condition may present. One of the important features is rupture with ensuing generalized peritonitis. Although initial excision of the cyst may be performed in selected cases, simple drainage is the safest and preferred procedure.
