2014
s / Pancreatology 14 (2014) S1eS129 S28 option. At surgery a mucus and mural nodule were identified in the main pancreatic duct and Whipple procedure combined with pancreatic body removal was performed basing on frozen section biopsy. Uneventful postoperative period. Histologically IPMN adenoma was found. Conclusion: This is the twenty fourth case of IPMN associated with pancreatic calcification, described in literature. This combination can lead to misdiagnosis and inappropriate treatment and has to be taken in consideration.
