Структура и функция щитовидной железы у школьников и студентов города Владикавказ

The aim of the study was the investigation of spreadness of goiter, iodine deficiency severity, functions of thyroid gland, antibodies presence to the thyroid tissue among schoolchildren and students of senior years in Vladikavkaz. The increase of thyroid gland was revealed, according to the palpation data, in 34,5% of schoolchildren and 42,3% examined students. In the structure of the goiter of schoolchildren prevailed diffuse increase of thyroid gland of 1 level, but in students almost equal correlation of the 1 level with the 2 level was revealed. The received THH data of the blood and antibodies (TPO, MSE) appeared to be normal. The levels of frT4 also were normal, but students with increased thyroid gland have the indices certain lower, than students with normal sizes of thyroid gland. The results of ioduria investigations revealed presence of the endemia of a mild form in the region.
