The significance of KAI1/CD82 expression in the metastatic neuroblastoma

2007
Objective To evaluate the significance of CD82 expression in the metastatic neuroblastomas. Methods We studied the expression of CD82 in 49 paraffin specimens including 40 neuroblastoma and 9 ganglioneuroma with immunohistochemistry. Results The CD82 was expressed in 71.43% of metastatic neuroblastomas, 34.74% of non-metastatic neuroblastomas and 22. 22% of ganglioneuroma. The differences between the three groups were statistically significant. Conclusions The KAⅠ1/CD82 expression negatively correlates with the metastasis of neuroblastomas. Key words: Genes, tumor suppressor;  Neuroblastoma;  Immunohistochemistry
