Performance Assessment of AtmosphericSoiling Dust on SPV Technology for Composite Climate

2020
Soiling losses is crucial commination in power plant maintenance as it blocks the solar light. With a high concentration of aerosol dust content and less precipitation of rain sticks on the surface of PV module. It can form cementation over the module surface after long-term outdoor exposure. This paper study about the soiling losses at 3 different tilt angles (160,280,430). The worst condition of soiling over the module was observed in winter season for the test site and it varies from 2 to 20%. The soiling is correlated by particulate matter for 4 different seasons with respect to humidity and wind speed. The winter season is the worst condition of cleaning and the frequency of cleaning interval is high.
