FAM 13.2: A 2 Million Pixel FIT·CeD Image Sensor for HDTV Camera System

A schematic diagram ofthis device is shown in Figure 1. The image area is 14.0mm (H) by 7.9mm (V), the eHecb ve number of pixels is 1920 (H) by 1036 (V) and the unit cell size of a pixel is 7.3J.1m (H) by 7.6J.1m (V). These specifications are adapted to the HOTV format. The horizontal shift register consists of dual­ channel 2-phase CCOsdriven by a 37.125MHz clock pulse4 The readout phase of each channel is the same, which allows the reset gate of each channel to bc connected together . To adapt to the 74.2.'iMHz readout frequency, one of the output signals is ddayed by 13.47ns through a s am ple-h old circuit. Pre ·amplifi ers shown in Figure 1 are constructed by three-stage source follower circuits.
