Topology and Control of Two-Stage Bidirectional AC/DC Fault Tolerant Converter

In order to improve the fault tolerance capability of bidirectional AC/DC converter. This paper proposes a two-stage topology and designs the finite state model predictive power control method. First, the bidirectional AC/DC converter system topology is analyzed. On the basis of the topology, the paper analyzed the operating mechanism of AC/DC fault tolerant converter after the faults occur. Then, the converter predictive power control model of faulttolerant has been built. In addition, the relationship between the voltage vectors (VV) and the cost function is analyzed in the paper. Finally, according to predictive power control model and cost function, the optimal space voltage vectors is chosen. The proposed two-stage bidirectional AC/DC fault tolerant converter can work continuously under the faulttolerant mode. The results show that the converter has good steady state and dynamic performance and verify the effectiveness of the proposed strategy.
