Seasonal variations of solar UVB and UVA in Syria

1997
Seasonal variations of solar UVB (285-320 nm) and UVA (320-400 nm) were measured in three sites in Syria (33-37 N°) for 2 y: 1992-1993. UVB measurements were performed using polysulphone films and Robertson-Berger meters, while UVA measurements were done by a UVA intensity meter. Two sets of measurements were carried out: 1) I Maximal daily doses 3 times per week (every other day); and 2) Diurnal variations from sunrise to sunset, every 1 h, twice per month (every fortnight).
