A method of authenticating a settlement terminal and a settlement method using thereof

PURPOSE: An authenticating method of a fund transfer terminal and a paying method using the same are provided to prevent an illegal fund transfer action by performing modified SSL(Secure Socket Layer) communication according to an encoding process using a symmetric algorithm. CONSTITUTION: A user connects a terminal with a terminal authentication server and transmits a terminal ID, a password, and a MAC address to the terminal authentication server(S201,S202). The terminal authentication server confirms the terminal ID, the password, and the MAC address in order to admit the terminal. The terminal authentication server stores the terminal ID and the MAC address into a database if the terminal is the permitted terminal(S203,S204). The terminal authentication server generates a terminal certification by using the terminal information and the MAC address and transmits and stores the terminal certification to an LDAP server(S205,S206). An authentication center generates a server certification when the terminal authentication server requests a certification to the authentication center(S207). The terminal certification, the server certification, the terminal information, and a SEED key are transmitted to the terminal(S208).
