Analysis and Suggestions on the essential safety enhancement of power cables and channels

Improving the essential safety level of cables is an important basis to ensure the reliability of urban electricity consumption. According to the summary report of the cable operation of state grid corporation of China, aiming at the “six prevention” problem of cable, this paper puts forward that the key to improve the essential safety level of cable and channel is to solve the “fire prevention” and “external damage prevention” of cable. Based on the analysis of the current “fire protection” technology of cables, the Suggestions of developing a new type of nanometer fire retardant coating and a new type of cable intermediate head protection box are put forward. It is pointed out that the key to improve the ability of “external damage prevention” is to use the method of intelligent operation and inspection instead of the traditional manual patrol. At the same time, combining with the big data analysis method to analyze the historical fault data, it can also solve the cable life evaluation and cable fault hidden trouble troubleshooting problems.
