Competencia entre Adesmia bicolor y distintas especies de malezas.

2013
Adesmia bicolor is a native perennial legume, naturally present in pastures in Argentina. Research studies are being carried out in order to seed this species as a crop in pure pastures or in combination with other forage crops. We studied competition between different weeds and A. bicolor. Treatments consisted of monocultures of A. bicolor and the weeds S. oleraceus and L. amplexicaule in 2010 and C. bonariensis and C. bursa-pastoris in 2011 and binary mixtures of bicolor with each of the mentioned weed species. Regressions were made between days from emergence and biomass of each species. Total relative yield was calculated. Biomass dynamics of all species fitted to sigmoidal model in both years. In 2010, total relative yield values indicate that partial competition occurred. Weed biomass was less reduced by the presence of the crop than crop biomass by weed presence. In both years, the values of relative yields during the period of crop implantation were higher for weeds than for the crop.
