Defensivos naturais no tratamento pos-colheita do pedunculo de melao

2003
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of 2 fungicides derived from the combination of essential vegetable oils of the species Lippia sidoides, Mentha arvensis, Ocimum gratissimum, Eucalyptus terenticornis and the oil of Glycine max in the post harvest treatment of the orange flesh melon peduncle. A combination of L. sidoides, O. gratissimum , M. arvensis and G. max was used in product 1 and the other whith L. sidoides, O. gratissimum, E. terenticornis and G max (product 2). The experiment was mounted in an entirely casualized experimental delineation, on a factorial basis of 2x2x5, meaning fungicides (1 and 2), treatments (curative and preventive), concentration (0, 10, 20, 30 and 40 ml/l) and 4 repetitions, (in a refrigerated chamber 12oC). Evaluation was carried out 21 days. Grades 1 to 5 were attributed, according to the proliferation of fungi. The product 1 was more efficient than product 2. The preventive treatment was more efficient than the curative. The recommendation is that cantaloupe peduncles be preventively treated after harvest with product 1, in a concentration of 20ml/l, and curatively, in a concentration of 40ml/l
