Receptor binding and internalization of biosynthetic human insulin in isolated rat hepatocytes

1982
Abstract Insulin binding and insulin internalization were studied in freshly isolated rat hepatocytes using a human insulin obtained by recombinant DNA technology. The results demonstrate that biosynthetic human insulin binds to rat liver receptors and is internalized by isolated rat hepatocytes at the same rate and magnitude as pork insulin.
