Die längste Seilnetzfassade der Welt in Dongguan

In Dongguan steht seit 2014 eine der modernsten Basketballhallen Chinas. Basketball hat dort einen hohen Stellenwert, daher fasst die Halle 15 000 Zuschauer. Ihre Ausstattung und Abmessungen sind mit einer modernen NBA-Halle in den USA vergleichbar. Gefordert war eine moglichst positive und einmalige architektonische Erscheinung. Die Aufgabe wurde mit dem Bild eines Basketballkorbs gelost, bestehend aus einer ringformigen Dachstruktur, die eine Kombination aus Hangetragwerk und Stahlfachwerk darstellt. Hinzu kommt das charakteristische Netz, das die Hallenfassade bildet und interessante Einblicke schafft. Diese 500 Meter lange doppelt gekrummte Seilnetzfassade stellt die derzeit wohl langste Fassade ihrer Art in der Welt dar. The longest cable net wall in Dongguan. Its facilities and dimensions are comparable to a modern NBA arena in the USA. One of the requirements was a positive and unique architectural appearance. It was met by using the image of a basketball hoop consisting of a circular roof structure, which is formed by combining a suspended structure and steel trusses. Additionally, it features a distinctive cable net which forms the arena facade and allows for interesting views. This 500 meters long double curved cable net facade represents the possibly worldwide longest facade of its kind.
