Una mirada al mercado de productos financieros “Caso del Pequeño Inversionista en el Eje Cafetero Cafetero”

This document presents a theory of the stock market and explains its types of agents and products. Subsequently, the paper describes the stock market transformation process in Colombia and concludes with a characterization of this market in the Colombian coffee region, highlighting the small investors' role in the said market. The paper uses the results of the research project “Evolution of the investment alternatives in financial assets by small investors in the Coffee Region during the period 2002-2007,” elaborated in 2008.
