The invention relates to the field of preparation of artificial boards and particularly relates to a sandwich board and a production method thereof. The sandwich board structurally comprises an oil paint layer, a decorative layer, a surface-layer eucalyptus wood board, a middle-layer cedarwood board and a bottom-layer eucalyptus wood board from top to bottom in sequence, wherein low-aldehyde mold-proof urea resin glue is utilized for coating between the decorative layer and the surface-layer eucalyptus wood board, between the surface-layer eucalyptus wood board and the middle-layer cedarwood board, and between the middle-layer cedarwood board and the bottom-layer eucalyptus wood board. The sandwich board produced by the invention has high bonding strength and low formaldehyde emission amount, and also has mold-proof, worm-proof and waterproof functions.
