NİTRÖZ OKSİT/OKSİJEN SEDASYONU VE AĞIZ CERRAHİSİNDE KULLANIM ALANLARI

Ozet Agiz cerrahisi uygulamalarinda tercih edilecek sedasyon secenegi; genis guvenlik araligi, uygulama kolayligi, yapilacak tedavi ile etkilesime girmeme, hizli etki baslangici, titre edilebilme ve dusuk cevresel/mesleki risk ozelliklerine sahip olmalidir. Nitroz oksit/oksijen sedasyonu bu kriterleri buyuk oranda saglayan ve gunumuzde sedasyon amaciyla sik uygulanan yontemlerden biridir. Bu derlemede guncel literatur bilgisi isiginda nitroz oksit/oksijen sedasyonu ve agiz cerrahisinde kullanimina iliskin bilgi verilmesi amaclanmaktadir. Anahtar kelimeler: Agiz cerrahisi; bilincli sedasyon; nitroz oksit NITROUS OXIDE/OXYGEN SEDATION AND APPLICATION FIELDS IN ORAL SURGERY Abstract Sedation choice for oral surgical procedures must include several features such as, wide safety margin, easy to administrate, no interference with treatment, rapid onset, able to titrate and low environmental/occupational hazards. Nitrous oxide/oxygen sedation meets most of these criteria and it is one of the common methods for achieving sedation currently. The aim of this review is to inform about nitrous oxide/oxygen sedation and its utilization in the fields of oral surgery in the light of the current literature.
