THERMOPHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF THERMAL INSULATING MATERIALS.

1964
Abstract : This handbook is a compilation of thermophysical property data of insulating materials, which can be used in both cryogenic and high-temperature applications. Thermal conductivity, linear thermal expansion, specific heat, total normal emittance, thermal diffusivity, and compressive strengths are plotted with respect to temperature. Density, melting point, continuous service temperature, typical available form, and modulus of elasticity are given in tabular form in a General Properties Table. The data listing is arranged on the basis of two principles; first, alphabetically, and then by form (powders, foams, multiple layers, etc.). Various experimental methods for determining thermal properties are described and their accuracies are indicated. The other sections also included in the handbook are: Glossary of Synonyms and Trade Names, Conversion Factors, References, and Author Index. (Author)
