Determination of baicalin in Pharyngitis Syrup by RP-HPLC

OBJECTIVE To determine the content of baicalin in Pharyngitis Syrup.METHODS The determination was carried out Hypersil ODS2 C18 column (4.6mm×250mm,5μm).The mixture of methanol-0.1% phosphoric acid (46∶54) was used as the mobile phase.The flow rate was 1.0mL·min-1.The UV detective wavelength was 280nm.The column temperature was 30℃,and the injection volume was 10μL.RESULTS The linear range of baicalin was 3.83~122.56μg·mL-1,the average recovery of this method was 100.74% and the RSD was 2.21%(n=6).CONCLUSION The method was sensitive,simple,accurate and reproducible,and suitable for the quality control of baicalin in Pharyngitis Syrup.
