Comparação dos efeitos do uso de palmilhas personalizadas com e sem suporte plantar na postura eixo tronco pélvico na síndrome da pelve cruzada e na percepção do alinhamento corporal em adultos jovens: um estudo de intervenção randomizado

2018
Insoles are used to improve foot alignment and consequently to restore body biomechanics. However, few studies are found in the literature evidencing the effect of insoles with plantar supports in relation to posture of the trunk and pelvis. The objective of this study was to compare the effects of the use of customized insoles with and without plantar support in trunk and pelvic alignment in pelvic crossed syndrome and in the perception of body alignment in young adults. This is a randomized intervention study. The sample consisted of 40 individuals of both sexes, aged 18-25 years and functionally diagnosed with Pelvic Syndrome, who were divided into 2 groups: plantar support (n = 19) and a customized insole group with plantar support (n = 21). The individuals were evaluated in relation to: body self perception; trunk and pelvic alignment in cross pelvis syndrome through photogrammetry; foot functionality through the Foot Health Status Questionnaire; presence of pain (by Visual Analog Scale); Foot Posture Index; and sacroiliac mobility (Gillet's tests). The following evaluation moments were considered: pre-intervention (baseline) and after 15 days, 30 days and 45 days of continuous use of the insoles. The results of this study suggest that the use of the customized insole improved trunk and pelvic alignment in the cross-pelvis syndrome and perceived posture and the presence of pain in both groups (with or without plantar support), without causing damage to the posture, health and functionality of the foot. However, there were no differences between the groups in the three moments of evaluation. The plantar support did not promote additional stimulation to cause greater changes in SPC and postural perception of the evaluated individuals after 15 days, 30 days and 45 days of continuous use of the insoles.
