Improving the processability of graphene nanoplatelets in polyamide 6 during melt compounding extrusion

2019
In this paper, we consider the compaction of very low apparent density graphene nanoplatelets (GNP) to increase the maximal loading that can be melt compounded with polyamide 6 (PA6) using a twin-screw extruder. We use an effective medium model to describe the thermal properties of the composites as a function of filler dispersion, shape and orientation. In this paper, we consider the compaction of very low apparent density graphene nanoplatelets (GNP) to increase the maximal loading that can be melt compounded with polyamide 6 (PA6) using a twin-screw extruder.
