3D Flow Structures—From Laboratory to Field Applications

1996
One laboratory experiment and one field application have been modeled. For each one different sources of errors in the model results could be detected. It may be concluded that the applicability of any model is not determined by the number of succesfull applications of the model, but rather by the right layout of the model for the given situation with respect to the steps leading from the real world problem to the numerical model result. Only the critical problems taken from two applications for a 3D flow model are discussed in the paper.
