Deconstructing Border Theory through the Axiological Assumption

Borders and border regions are particularly revealing places for social research, especially in the present era of growing globalization, and the growth of supra-state regions such as the European Union (EU). A new way of thinking about Europe’s borders challenged necessity of a provocative and timely reflection on the debate of border security and migration crisis in Europe. All of that immediately found a response in the researching literature that offers critical perspectives on current migration policies, detention and deportation, border controls during recent years. Through axiological paradigm we will try to compare the 90 th border’ concepts (E. Balibar, A. Paasi, H. Donnan and Th.M. Wilson) with XXI century 10 th represent a new way of thinking about European borders through such definitions as the vacillation of borders, diffraction, dehumanization and animalization of migrants, biopolitical security. The article shows how last years’ European border situation influences on European values’ hierarchy which is visible in media, internet social networks.
