Possibilities of decreasing the toxicity of the discharges of the TGMP-314A boiler during the burning of oil

1978
In order to determine the optimal operating conditions of a boiler unit from the point of view of providing the minimum atmospheric pollution by toxic substances at an acceptable level of economy and reliability a complex study of the content of toxic substances in the exhaust gases of a TGMP-314A boiler (of a 300 MW power unit) during the burning of oil as a function of a number of technical parameters and the design of the burners was examined. It was found that for the optimal conditions for burning of oil in the furnace of a TGMP-314A boiler which provide the minimum toxicity of the exahust gases with an acceptable economy level, operation of the boiler unit with a degree of exhaust gas recirculation of the furnace of 22 to 25% and an air excess coefficient at the furnace outlet of 1.02 to 1.03 is recommended.
