HORIZONTAL-WELL OPTIMIZATION FOR THIN LAYER BASED ON FINE DESCRIPTION OF LOW-AMPLITUDE STRUCTURE

2011
At present, residual reserves of Jingbian gasfield are defined as "three low" one with poor quality and complicated conditions of geology. To enhance the recovery, horizontal-well technology can be adopted. According to the properties of both thin-layer thickness and complex, low-amplitude structure, this paper carries on the fine description of low-amplitude structure, and then establishes a fine geological model and studies geological optimization design for horizontal well. Therefore, a negative impact of thin layer and low-amplitude structure on the operation of horizontal well has been solved effectively. Probability of penetration and productivity are increased and significant economic benefits are obtained. It provides some guidelines for horizontal-well development of similar gas reservoirs.
