New retrovirus capable of causing aids

PURPOSE: To obtain a virus of the class having the ability to cause lymphadenopathy developed into human acquired immunodeficiency syndrome(AIDS). CONSTITUTION: This invention relates to an antigen, infectious with a human T4 lymphocyte and recognizable with an antibody induced in a human by an HIV-2 retrovirus having essential morphological and immunological characteristics of a retrovirus deposited in CNCM as accession number I-502, I-532, I-642 or I-643.
