Neseminomski tumori testisa

2020
Non-seminoma tumours are malignant testicular tumours that mainly occur in younger men. Although the etiology is unknown, some risk factors have been identified that favor the onset of the disease. Diagnosis is based on physical examination, diagnostic imaging methods and serum tumour markers. Surgery (inguinal exploration and orchiectomy), in addition to being a therapeutic method, is also used for diagnostic purposes. With the help of pathohistological examination, information can be learned on the stage of the tumour that determines which treatment protocol will be used next. Before starting therapy, patients should be informed of the potential consequences of the treatment and the long-term toxicity of chemotherapy. With timely diagnosis and therapy adapted to the stage of the tumour, patients with non-seminoma testicular tumours have high survival rates.
