MS Excel Functions and Formulae

There are many functions and formulae that can be used to make tasks simpler in MS Excel. This chapter introduces Excel functions and formulae and explains their usage. The basic Excel functions, such as Logical functions and Date and Time functions, are described in this chapter. Next, some applications of Excel functions in electrical engineering are included here. Ohm’s law and power calculation, as well as power factor problems, are addressed in MS Excel. Exercises follow the topics, and the topics are presented in a manner most suitable for easy comprehension. This is an intermediate level chapter and will ease the task of electrical engineers to carry out calculations in Excel.
