This work has the purpose of comparing the use and non-use of Tensar
Biaxial to improve traffic conditions in the area of Laureles district of El
Porvenir, in the province of Trujillo, department of La Libertad, and achieve
the corresponding studies were performed in the area to improve, can
determine with this design flexible pavement. For the design of flexible
pavement traditional methodology was used AASTHO 93; They were
analyzed and compared the two designs obtained, one without any
geosynthetic and the other adicionandole Tensar Biaxial so that in this way
they could know the benefits or harm that has the application of Geosynthetics
in flexible pavements. Through this study it was determined that the use of
Tensar Biaxial has as one of its most important benefits decreasing
thicknesses in the layers of flexible pavement, plus more stable pavements
with greater resistance to static and dynamic loads absorbing and distributing
efforts, and from an economic point of view, a reduction in costs.
