2020
Etymologically, blended learning consists of two words “blended” and “learning”. Blended means a mixture of something that combine together to form better quality of it (Collins Dictionary) or the form of combination (Oxford English Dictionary) (Heinze and Procter, 2006;236). While “Learning” has general meaning to gain knowledge or skill, thus basically it means learning patterns that contain mixing element. In simple way we can say that “Blended Learning” is learning process that combined face to face learning activity and independent learning by online. In “Blended Learning” the process of seeking information from different sources of information which are provided online and offline are based on relevance, validity, content of reliability and academic clarity. Educators or facilitators act to be advisors for the students to find information effectively and efficiently. Students as individually or in cooperative-collaborative group should make effort to find, to understand and to confront it with their ideas then they need to interpret the information/knowledge from different sources provided until they can re-communicate and re-interpret their ideas and the result of their interpretation by using the facilities given. Then students can construct/re-construct their knowledge by assimilation process and accommodation which depends on analysis result, discussion and conclusion from given information. This learning will give meaningful learning experience to the students, so that they can improve their learning outcome in "Pendidikan Agama” and “Budi Pekerti”.
